The earth delights to feel your bare feet
As the winds long to play with your hair..
Get ready for your morning stroll mate
You ‘ve been blessed with your heaven’s share!!

Some cling to the box promising Bio-Sleep
Discarding the chill of the shadowed woods.
Well……. what is more celestial, divine
Than everything above your head
Or… anything under your foot!

The fragrant breath of the soil and trees,
Under the silken opalescent dream of the sky.
Among the green spirits of the dewy grass,
Symphonic with the buzz of a fly.

A walk in the woods spectacular green,
Where a hundred flowers bloom.
A gentle blush from the tree leaves,
That sashays; celebrates, like a groom.

Hear the streams bless your existence;
Their music is never to die.
Let the pouring drops wash your soul;
When the clouds sing you a lullaby.

And when you close your eyes for a while;
To breathe that fleeting bit.
How BLESSED in abundance will you feel
To just hold hands with her and sit.

I like it! The morning is the most beautiful time of day, and being out in nature is really, like you said, divine. I love your word choice and the vivid description. And I love that you added in a little romance at the end, unless the her you’re referring to is mother nature. Thanks for sharing!

such a soothing, serene, calming work of poetry.. i specially loved the first two and the last two lines of the poem.. all the time we discuss how we love to walk on moist cool grass with bare feet.. but you go the otherway round..you tell how the earth feels..! It makes the thought all the more welcoming.
